Ben White

Ben is a partner at Notion; he co-founded the firm in 2009 and sits on the boards of eSeller, NewVoiceMedia and Star within Notion’s portfolio. Ben focuses on the Security & Content Management sector.

Ben is one of the best known technology entrepreneurs in the UK and has co-founded three businesses (RBR Networks, Star and MessageLabs) turning them all into market leaders each with revenues in excess of $100M and a combined value creation of nearly $1 billion. Star was founded in 1995 as one of the UK’s first ISP’s and MessageLabs in 2000 as the first company in the world to deliver anti-virus and anti-spam in the cloud.

In 2008 MessageLabs was acquired by Symantec for $700M and, at this time, Ben stepped down from the board to devote his time to Notion Capital. Ben is a well-known entrepreneur and frequently speaks at industry events about building businesses and disrupting industries. Ben was recognised by the European Technology Forum's UK Technology Innovation & Growth Awards as 'Technology Entrepreneur of the Year' for 2005 and in December 2005 was ranked in the top ten of Management Today's list of the UK's top 100 entrepreneurs.
